SPSS Activities

We enjoy the friendship and camaraderie of our fellow members both on-the-water and on land. We plan several fun boating activities per month, including raft-ups, kayak trips, fishing, and cruising to waterside restaurants. We also have weekly lunches at Marina Jack, and a monthly potluck game night, complete with a real slot machine. We celebrate Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving and host a semi-formal holiday dinner dance. You can always find out what’s planned by reading the Weekly Update email blast or checking the calendar here on our website.

Join the Celestial Navigation Challenge!

The Challenge is an exciting and fun opportunity for all those wishing to brush up on their navigational skills and techniques, or to learn new ones. All members of the Squadron, regardless of skill level can participate. Every two months we will post a typical navigational problem to be solved. Participants will have 30 days to solve the problem and submit their answers to the judges for review. The names of all those getting the correct answers will be published in the Weekly Update, and at the end of the year the participant with the most problems answered correctly will be awarded a trophy for:

Best Navigator of the Year!
